A Day Out

Well, we made it down to Sarasota yesterday. It was rather late in the day, and I'm thinkin' that probably ended up being a good thing. No one got too much sun at all.

I did take pictures. And they aren't all THAT bad, considering who the photographer was.

Tammi_001_2 Here's a shot of the water down by Siesta Key. The sand is like white powder and the water was pretty nice actually. Enough wave action to keep it interesting, but not enough to keep the kids out.

Here's baby Christopher, who keeps trying to tell me he's NOT a baby anymore, playin' in the sand. He. Had. A. Blast.

Here's Little Shit, Christopher and I in the pool after an hour of serious beach time. I had almost forgotten how FANTASTIC the pool water feels after all that salt and sand.

You can't see it very well, but given that I have trouble taking pictures standing still, riding in a car is neigh near impossible! This...is my bridge. The Sunshine Skyway as we approach from the south. Funny, 14 years and it still makes me smile Every Single Time I see it.....

And last but not least, the view from the top of the bridge. Of course it's the view TOWARDS Tampa Bay, the other side has all my beautiful islands but I couldn't get a decent shot of that one.

So that was our day. Today....we're just hangin' out at the house. I am busy fighting off the cold that seems to be tryin' to take over our world, but other than that it's a lazy day.
